How to Make Apple Aperture support AVCHD Lite videos?

Panasonic DMC-ZS10 is the compact camera with HD video recording. The recording mode could be GFS and FSH modes for 1920x1080 AVCHD files, GS and SH modes for 1280x720p AVCHD Lite or Motion JPEG.

Apple Aperture was released as a photo management system for creating slideshow, enhance photo on Mac. Aperture 3 is becoming more of a hybrid Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution with the support of HD video from digital SLR cameras and compact cameras. However, it does not support the videos recorded in MPEG H.264/AVCHD as AVCHD or AVCHD Lite format.

Click the “Export” button, and go to the “Export into Editor” button. Choose Apple Aperture > Apple Aperture MOV(*.mov) as output format. Click the OK button, and the Lumix AVCHD Lite to Aperture converter will start conversion.

When the conversion process is done, you can import Panasonic ZS10 videos to Apple Aperture for creating multimedia slideshow.

Tips:
1. If you are using other cameras with AVCHD Lite like Lumix FZ100, FZ45/FZ40, TZ20, ZS8/TZ18, you can also use Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac to make Apple Aperture support AVCHD Lite camera videos, or join the AVCHD Lite videos for VLC, Dune player without re-encoding.
